A company called Neurosky, based in San Diego, is behind the technology, a pair of foot-mounted remote-control systems that let people control most devices that connect to the Internet, including televisions, laptops, and smartphones.
Each wireless foot remote contains three electrodes placed near where the user's hand would be during a computer-control gesture. Once connected to a device via Bluetooth connection, computer program analyzes the brain patterns to recognize particular control needed, from one second to five minutes in duration.
